Melissa "Meli" Darby

The Original Founder of Obese Productions, Meli first got involved in Hip-Hop thru her endless fight against the TeenDanceOrdinance. Originally working with the SHOW, Meli was responsible for designing the show flyers and distribution. Down since 99' Meli will continue to do her part to keep this culture alive and out of the hands of those who only view HipHop as a valuable commodity.

Louis Berntsen

Born in Anchorage, Alaska and grew up in Billings, MT. Moved to Seattle, Washington in November of 2005. Been DJing for 10 years and finally have the opportunity to give back to Hip Hop.

Will Johnsen

Will "Theory" Johnsen, originally from the Southern Oregon coast, is a junior at SU majoring in Journalism. He started with Obese in Sept. of '05 handing out flyers at shows. Will is also the music director at SU's radio station KSUB. In March of '06 he was asked to start interviewing artists for the Obese website as well. This is one busy dude.

Mary Jane Cha

My name is Mary Jane, I love obese. I love Meli's dog. I love Starbursts and scrambled eggs. I hate caterpillars and counting change.
I work at a store where i have to hang up used unitards. I would love to raise cat fish in my back yard. Til next time....

Sarah Valadez

My name’s Sarah Maria. I’m from the wonderful town of Tacompton. I’ve put on two of my own hip hop shows in Tacoma including Sleep of Oldominion and C-Rayz Walz. I do web design outside of promoting for Obese. In my free time I play Super Nintendo and Xbox.

My name's Erin Gray and I am a proud green card holder transplanted from Canada to the WA. I'm in love with Dunny's, new tattoos, swing sets, the beach, and all things music. Oh, and i heart the word poop.

D'oji

Obese's official mascot, D'oji, is half gazelle & half dog. He is possibly the most stubborn MinPin EVER (he takes after his Mommy). He enjoys chewing on random pieces of dried flesh jerky, gutting stuffed animals, ankle biting and toe licking. D'oji suffers from a severe case of separation anxiety and the napoleon complex, but at least he rings a bell when he has to pee. Arf.
