| About |
Obese Productions was originally founded by it original members, Melissa "Meli" Darby and Samuel L. Chesneau, both formally of the Student Hip-Hop Organization of Washington (The SHOW). This odd couple met during a meeting with the mayors office in regards to the Teen Dance Ordinance in '99. While the SHOW laid the groundwork, Meli used the experience she gained (while working along side SHOW founders Chesneau & Marc Matsui) to successfully run what is now commonly referred to as "The Northwest's Leading Hip-Hop Promotion Company." The Obese logo originates from Ms. Meli's early days of vandalism, when you could catch a glimpse of the now-ubiquitous graffiti character on passing trains and freeway walls. |
